With a swift gesture, a fluffy white carbuncle is summoned, it stretches and takes a big yawn before curling up beside you, as if sleeping.

To aid with healing and surgery, Patience developed over many years, a unique type of carbuncle.Initially intended to help find injured soldiers on a battlefield when Patience was a field medic, the carbuncle's magic holds together open wounds to staunch bleeding until Patience arrives to perform surgery or heal them with aether.It also acts as a kind of local anaesthetic, its immediate aura is numbing, you won't feel any pain at all.

"Not a problem, I've got a tonic or salve for everything."

A trolley stacked with phials, bottles and surgical equipment is wheeled over.

Patience can perform traditional surgery and first aid. She creates her own medicine, vaccines, salves and potions. She can do anything from open heart surgery and serious medical reconstruction to simple broken bones, burns and open wounds. She also carries vaccines for many common ailments.
